A number of detainees at the Campsfield House Immigration Removal Centre at Kidlington have been moved following a disturbance between two groups.

The Home Office said about 47 people were involved in the incident, which took place at 1400 GMT on Thursday.

A spokesperson said it was a minor incident, which was dealt with by staff on site. They added that the facility was now calm.

Three men received hospital treatment after the incident.

Two were discharged on Thursday, while one remains in hospital with a minor head injury.

The centre can hold up to 216 men who are awaiting removal from the country.
