Homes have power supply restored

Electricity supplies have been restored to the remaining homes in Oxfordshire which were left without power when a cable was damaged.

Southern Electric said about 2,600 properties in the Didcot area were affected by the cut.

Customers in the Meadow Way area of the town were the last to have their supplies restored.

A spokesman said damage had been done to underground cables, which cut out supplies at about 1600 GMT on Tuesday.
