Bus drivers held up at gunpoint

Two bus driver in Oxfordshire have been held up at gunpoint on the same night, police have said.

A man got on the 280 bus in Wheatley late on Wednesday night and threatened the driver with a gun before fleeing with his takings.

In the early hours of Thursday another man got onto an Oxford Tube coach at London Road in Headington, hit the driver over the head and took money.

Police are appealing for information over both incidents.

The first offender is thought to be white, 5ft 8in, medium build and wearing a dark woolly hat and a black and white scarf that covered his face.

The second man was Asian, about 6ft, and was wearing a black jacket gloves and hooded top that covered his face.

Det Con Chris Bolger, said: "Both drivers were left very shaken by what happened.

"I appeal to anyone who was on either of the buses who have not yet spoken to us or anyone who was in Wheatley or Headington and saw men of these descriptions acting suspiciously, to contact police immediately. "
