Shed is destroyed in arson attack

Police are searching for two men suspected of setting fire to a shed in Oxford which destroyed contents worth more than £1,000.

Officers were called to Freelands Road, off the Iffley Road, at about 1730 GMT on Monday.

A witness saw two men entering the grounds of the property.

The suspects are described as being around 5ft 9in (1.7m) tall and were wearing dark hooded tops. One of them was carrying a rucksack.

Pc Simon Gray, who is investigating the incident, said: "It was very fortunate nobody was injured as a result of the fire.

"The Iffley Road would have been very busy at this time of day with rush hour traffic.

"I appeal to anyone who was in this area of Oxford yesterday afternoon and saw two men acting suspiciously to contact police immediately."
