Teenagers charged over shooting

Two teenagers have been charged in connection with an incident in which a 19-year-old man was shot in the eye with an air rifle in Oxfordshire.

The victim was walking near Oxford Crematorium in Bayswater Road, Barton, when he was attacked in the early hours of Tuesday.

The teenagers, who are 17 and 18, have been charged with grievous bodily harm with intent to endanger life.

They are due to appear before Oxford Magistrates' Court on Friday.

Eighteen-year-old Karn Matthews, from Strawberry Path in Blackbird Leys, also faces charges of possession of an imitation firearm with intent to cause fear, and dangerous driving.

The 17-year-old, who cannot be named because of his age, faces an additional charge of possession of an offensive weapon.
