Faith leaders from across the UK are to meet in Oxford later at a debate to discuss ways to combat climate change.

The Bishop of Oxford, Rt Revd John Pritchard, Imam Monawar Hussain, Rabbi Jeffrey Newman, Avinder J Singh and Dr Rishi Shaunaka will all be present.

Delegates at the debate at University Church will formulate a seven-year plan and sign the UN Earth Charter.

Alastair Fothergill, the producer of BBC natural history programme Planet Earth, will also be speaking.

The conference starts at 1830 GMT and the public are invited to attend.
