People in Oxfordshire have been urged to be vigilant after an increase in rural crime including killing wildlife and destroying crops.
On Wednesday evening intruders gained access to land in the Swyncombe Estate in Henley and drove across farmland, damaging crops and killing hares.
Police said offenders are generally using 4x4 vehicles and could be using the Ridgeway to get access to land.
Henley MP John Howell has urged action to prevent a "life-threatening event".
Mr Howell has written to Thames Valley Police Chief Constable Sara Thornton calling for a dedicated senior officer to tackle the problem.

I would like to reassure residents that we will not tolerate this behaviour

"Given how mindless and distressing this wave of crime is it is not surprising that the strength of feeling locally is very strong on this issue," he said.
Sgt Keith Stacey, of Thames Valley Police, said incidents had occurred in Thame, Wallingford and rural areas around Henley, and he urged residents to be vigilant.
"These offenders have a total disregard for residents, landowners and their property and the safety of others," he said.
"They cause damage to crops and livestock by driving recklessly through hedges or fences to chase animals like deer or hares.
"I would like to reassure residents that we will not tolerate this behaviour and are working hard to catch those responsible.
"The offenders are generally using 4x4 vehicles and could be using the Ridgeway to get access to the land, from the M40 to Benson."
Wednesday's incident, which happened at about 2030 BST, involved a red Subaru Legacy.
Witnesses are urged to contact the police.
