A woman has been jailed for six months for assisting an offender after her father was convicted of killing a man on a canal boat in Oxfordshire.
Maurice Batts, 64, died 10 days after he was discovered off Southam Road in Banbury, Oxfordshire, last September.
Tammy Crain, 22, of Springfield Avenue, Banbury, was jailed at Oxford Crown Court on Friday.
Her father James Crain, 53, of the same address, has already been jailed for two-and-a-half years for manslaughter.
He had been cleared of murder.
A post-mortem examination revealed Mr Batts' death was caused by a "blunt force trauma".
He was punched once by Crain and suffered severe head injuries as he fell to the ground.
Crain's daughter Tammy lied to police to try to protect her father, the court was told.
