Woman threatened with bread knife

A female cashier was threatened with a bread knife during a robbery in an Oxfordshire shop.

A youth went into the Co-op on Kingsley Road in Bicester on Monday afternoon and demanded money.

He stole cash from the till and ran off down Bucknell Road into Maud Close, Thames Valley Police said.

They are appealing for witnesses and described the robber as being in his late teens or early 20s, with very short hair, which is blond on top.

Det Con Jill Morton said: "Thankfully, no-one was hurt in this incident, but it was distressing for the woman involved and she was left very shaken.

"Knife crimes of this sort are rare in Bicester, so we need to find this youth."
