Man hurt at industrial site dies

Paramedics found the man trapped with steel against his neck

A man has died in hospital after he became trapped with steel against his neck at a building site at an Oxfordshire shopping centre.

Paramedics found the 28-year-old with life-threatening injuries at the new Marriotts Close Development, near Witney town centre, on Friday.

An air ambulance took the man to the John Radcliffe Hospital where he died on Saturday afternoon, police said.

Police and health and safety officials are investigating the incident.
