Man still critical after accident

Paramedics found the man trapped with steel against his neck

A man hurt when he became trapped with steel against his neck at a building site at an Oxfordshire shopping centre remains in a critical condition.

Paramedics found the 28-year-old with life-threatening injuries at the new Marriotts Close Development, near Witney town centre, on Friday.

An air ambulance took the man to the John Radcliffe Hospital where he remains in the intensive care unit.

Police and health and safety officials are investigating the incident.
