Care home woman died from burns

Two members of staff have been suspended over the incident

A disabled teenager died after suffering burns at a care home, a post mortem examination has revealed.

Eighteen-year-old Yelena Hassleberg Langley had been admitted to hospital on 27 August after she was burnt at the home in Oxford.

Tests showed she died of complications arising from scald injuries.

Two members of staff from the home in Owens Way, Cowley, have been suspended and the Health and Safety Executive and Thames Valley Police are investigating.

No one has been arrested or charged over the incident.
