Caution for TV bottom pinch man
A man who pinched a Channel 4 News presenter's bottom during a live broadcast has been cautioned.

Sue Turton was speaking to the camera from Oxford's flood-hit Osney Island when a man was seen on film walking past her on Bridge Street on 27 July.

She said she found the incident "quite humiliating" but continued reporting and did not wish to pursue the matter.

A police spokeswoman said: "A man has been cautioned under the Public Order Act. There will be no further action."

On Tuesday, Ms Turton said in a statement she had "no desire to punish this man through the courts".

But she added she found "the matter quite humiliating and somewhat disrespectful to the plight of those I was reporting about".

She also pointed out that "male reporters would never be treated to a public goosing".

As well as being shown to a national television audience, the incident has been viewed thousands of times on video-sharing website YouTube.
