A woman has been charged with murder and two people with assisting a murder after the body of a 94-year-old German refugee was found in a field.

Thea Zaudy, from Notting Hill Gate, west London, fled Germany in 1939. Her charred remains were found in Milton Common, near Thame, Oxon, on 13 July.

Jolanta Kalinowska was charged with murder, and Monika Sienkiewicz and Adrian Ryszard Laz with assisting her.

All three are from Cavendish Avenue, Ealing, west London.

Ms Kalinowska, 41, Ms Sienkiewicz, 19 and Mr Ryszard Laz, 23, are due to appear before Oxford Magistrates' Court on Saturday.

A 38-year-old man who was arrested following the discovery was released without charge.

Mrs Zaudy could not be identified for days after her burned remains were found next to a suitcase, thought to have been used to transport the body, police said.
