Man suffers head injury in attack

A man has been left with serious head injuries after he was attacked in an Oxfordshire town.

The 30-year-old victim was assaulted in Margaret's Road, in Adderbury near Banbury, on Sunday afternoon.

He was taken to the John Radcliffe Hospital, in Oxford, where he remains in a critical condition, police said.

Forensic officers carried out an examination of the scene and detectives have urged any witnesses to the assault to contact them.

It is not known how many people were involved in the incident.
