Fire controlled at power station
Firefighters have brought a blaze at Didcot A power station under control.

The oil fire started in electrical turbine one in the main turbine hall on Thursday night.

About 35 firefighters were on scene overnight and they successfully brought the blaze under control using foam with the help of power station staff.

Incident commander Mick Pilcher said a rehearsed plan for this sort of event meant a safe conclusion. No-one was reported injured.
