City's bus lane cameras go live
A short "period of grace" has been promised to drivers who flout new bus lane rules in Oxford city centre.

New bus lane cameras were switched on on Monday and motorists who use the lanes now face fines of £60.

Oxfordshire County Council has installed CCTV cameras in High Street, Castle Street, George Street and Magdalen Street to enforce the rule.

But on its website the council said a period of grace will be given while awareness of the scheme increases.
