An Intercity train from Swansea to London Paddington had to be evacuated when a fire broke out.

The fire took hold in the exhaust system of a First Great Western diesel locomotive at Didcot Parkway station in Oxfordshire.

All 400 passengers were forced to leave the eight-carriage train, but no-one was hurt.

Nearly 50 firefighters attended the scene. Many trains have been delayed or cancelled because of the incident.
