Man held over 1996 fatal stabbing
A 29-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of murder in connection with a stabbing eleven years ago.

The man is being questioned by Thames Valley Police over the death of Stephen Burton, 20, in 1996.

Mr Burton was stabbed at a property in Oxford's Cowley Road on 5 January. The case is being investigated by the force's major crime review team.

The man being questioned was arrested by officers at an address in Henley on Tuesday morning.

Mr Burton's mother, Carol, said: "I am pleased that Thames Valley Police has not forgotten Stephen's death and continue to pursue justice on his behalf."
