Fire school set to remain closed

The fire completely destroyed the school's drama block
A secondary school which suffered a serious fire at the weekend remained closed on Monday.

The fire completely destroyed the drama block at Lord Williams's secondary lower school in Thame, Oxfordshire.

Teaching staff held an emergency meeting on Sunday and the decision was taken to close the lower school. The upper school is open as usual.

Sixty-five firefighters were needed to tackle the fire that broke out at the Towersey Road site on Saturday night.
