City road works to cause delays
Roadwork on Oxford High Street
Work is the third phase to upgrade Oxford's High Street
Road works on a major junction in Oxford are expected to cause delays for drivers over the summer months.

A new carriageway is being laid over Magdalen Bridge to the Plain Roundabout. Traffic will be controlled by temporary traffic signals.

And from the Plain Roundabout to the St Clement's section of road, which connects three main routes, will be repaired between July and October.

Oxfordshire County Council has warned of "unavoidable" road closures.

The work is the third phase to upgrade Oxford's historic city centre, which includes removing what the council has called "unnecessary" street clutter.

Thames Water is also undertaking work on St Clement's Street.
