30m project to replace viaduct
A 30m project to replace a dated viaduct in Oxfordshire has been announced by the government.

Work to replace the Wolvercote Viaduct on the A34 is set to begin in 2008 and will take two years to complete.

The structure, which was built in 1960 to 1961, no longer complies with current design standards and will be completely replaced.

The Highways Agency said every effort will be made to avoid disruption to residents and motorists.
