Dog rescued from 24ft down well
A dog has been rescued after falling 24 ft (7m) down a disused well in north Oxfordshire.

Fire crews used rock climbing equipment to free the Labrador-German shepherd cross after it got trapped at Thornbury House in Kidlington on Saturday.

One crew member was lowered down the well, which has a diameter of 2ft (60cm) and rescued the unharmed pet.

The dog's owner raised the alarm after the animal fell during their morning walk.
