Fire crews tackle large farm fire

About 100,000 of crops were said to have been destroyed
More than a 100,000 of crops have been completely destroyed in a field fire in west Oxfordshire.

The blaze started on Monday night at a large farm on Pinewoods Road, Longworth, near Kingston Bagpuize.

A fire and rescue spokeswoman said about 2,500 tonnes of baled straw was still burning on Tuesday morning.

The alarm was raised at about 2200 GMT and five fire engines were at the scene most of the night. No-one is believed to have been hurt.
