Police believe this man sexually assaulted a ten-year-old boy

Oxford police have released an e-fit of a man they say sexually assaulted a 10-year-old boy in an alleyway.

The attack happened in Barton, at about 1635 BST on 26 April, while the youngster was walking through the alley that leads to Alderbarton Drive.

He was approached by a man who sexually assaulted him, but the youngster eventually managed to run off.

Police described the attacker as 6ft, middle-aged, unshaven with short, greyish-brown short hair.

He had blue eyes and was wearing a dark zipper jacket.

Det Con Marc Tarbit said: "I appeal to anyone who recognises this man to contact police immediately.

"The boy managed to run away from the man but has obviously been left very shaken and upset by the incident."
