'Sick thugs' film kitten killing
A gang of youths threw a toddler's pet kitten in front of a passing car and then filmed it on their mobiles.

Chip, a seven-month-old black and white kitten, had gone missing from the family home in Bicester, Oxfordshire.

The boy's father, who did not want to be named, said a friend was driving nearby when two youths threw the kitten in front of his car, killing it.

"When he looked up there were two kids with mobile phones filming what they'd done," said the father.

If they can do this to a kitten, imagine what else they could do

The man has since reported the incident to the RSPCA but fears reprisals from the youths.

He said: "It's totally sick. If they can do this to a kitten, imagine what else they could do.

"It could be a dog next, then perhaps a child. They need to be caught."

He said he and his girlfriend could not bring themselves to tell their son what had happened to his pet.

He said: "He keeps walking round the house calling his name and saying, 'Mummy, where's Chip?'

"We have to tell him that he's gone to live somewhere else because I don't think he would understand."
