Mr Jeremy is expected in the UK in the next three months
A porn star set to give a speech at the Oxford Union has postponed his appearance at the last minute.

Ron Jeremy, star of 1,700 adult films, was due to join a list of past speakers including Malcolm X, Winston Churchill and the Dalai Lama, on Wednesday.

His UK trip to promote "a technological product" has been delayed, union spokesman Peter Cardwell said.

"I am completely confident that he will be at the union within the next three months," the spokesman added.

The Oxford Union, an independent part of Oxford University, has hosted debates and speeches for 182 years.

Earlier this month, magician Uri Geller appeared at the society and spoke in defence of his friend Michael Jackson, currently facing child abuse charges.

In 2001, adult films actress Jenna Jameson appeared at the Union to speak about the benefits of pornography.
