Voice recognition helps readers
Voice recognition software has been introduced into Oxfordshire's libraries so readers will be able to renew their books 24 hours a day.

The Callpoint service will also be able to tell borrowers if reserved items are ready to be collected.

To access Callpoint, borrowers need a valid library card and a PIN number - which can be obtained from any of Oxfordshire's branch libraries.

The telephone number for the service is 0845 1202811.

Councillor Don Seale said: "The new telephone and online services allow people to carry out important library transactions without having to travel to the library and at times when it may be closed."
