Tributes have been paid to a teenager who died after falling from the roof of a school building.
Alex Leatherbarrow, 14, was fatally injured at King Alfred's Community and Sports College in Wantage, Oxfordshire, on Thursday.
It is feared he may have been taking part in "free-running", the craze where people run and jump across buildings.
Nicholas Young, the school's head, said Alex was a "gentle, sensitive young man with a lovely sense of humour".
'Deepest sympathy'
He said: "This is a dreadful tragedy which will affect the whole school community.
"We mourn the loss of a young life and send our deepest sympathy to his parents, family and friends."
An inquest into Alex's death was opened and adjourned on Tuesday.
The teenager suffered serious injuries in the fall and died the next day in hospital.
