Safety experts will warn children about the dangers of HGVs
Hundreds of pupils will be warned to beware of lorries when crossing roads as part of a council's drive to reduce the likelihood of serious accidents.

Oxfordshire County Council's road safety team is preparing to embark on a tour of the county's schools.

During special sessions youngsters will be told to keep clear of HGVs that are turning, reversing or unloading.

The scheme "Trucksafe with Bibby" comes after the council joined forces with transportation firm Bibby Distribution.

County Councillor David Robertson, executive member for transport, said: "I hope all schools will be able to benefit from the demonstrations."
