A 98-year-old woman who had never used a computer in her life - has proved it is never too late to learn.
Mary Robinson now uses her IT skills to do her shopping and other tasks after completing an adult learners' course.
The former village midwife, who lives at Sydney Harrison House in Shiplake, Oxfordshire, completed a five-week computer and spreadsheets course.
Ms Robinson has been described by the county council's education bosses as "a real inspiration" to others.
Ms Robinson said: "It's been wonderful. Computers are marvellous. There is so much you can do with them and so much to learn.
"I've been shopping, played cards and created files."
The course was run by Oxfordshire County Council to promote learning in village communities.
Outreach worker Iva Abbey said: "People of every age can change their lives through learning and Mary's achievement shows that it's never too late to develop new skills.
"She really enjoyed the course and was always one step ahead."
