A bungling bank robber who had to return to the scene of the crime because he could not move his getaway car is facing a life sentence.
Roy Swinscoe broke in through the roof of Lloyds TSB in Banbury High Street, Oxfordshire, and hid there until staff arrived the next morning.
The 37-year-old from Nottingham, who has 126 previous convictions, forced managers to open the safe at gun point.
But his escape was delayed when he found his car had been blocked in by nearby office workers.
It took the balaclava-clad raider 20 minutes to get the owners to move their cars before he could drive away.
A jury at Oxford Crown Court took two hours to return guilty verdicts on charges of robbery and possessing a firearm.
The court heard Swinscoe had been sentenced to 11 years for holding up a building society in Boscombe, Lincolnshire, in a similar raid in 1992.
The judge warned him he could expect a life sentence and adjourned sentencing for six weeks.
