The art tram will be a billboard for Nottingham Contemporary's logos in the run up to its official opening.

Nottingham's new £19m art centre is set to open with a David Hockney exhibition.

Nottingham Contemporary will showcase more than 60 of his works done between 1960 and 1968 which helped establish his international reputation.

It is thought to be the first time Hockney's early work will be brought together since 1970 and will occupy two of the building's four galleries.

The centre is set to open at the Lace Market on Saturday 14 November.
