Overweight children offered help

Families with overweight children in a Nottinghamshire borough are being urged to take part in a new health programme.

Rushcliffe Borough Council and Nottingham Rugby Football Club are running a 10-week diet and fitness programme for local families.

Children will learn about healthy eating and take part in exercise classes which will be held at the Rushcliffe Leisure Centre.

The project will also include visits to nearby supermarkets.

The first session will be held on 14 September.
