Fire crews tackle blaze at church

Firefighters have been tackling a fire which broke out at a church on a Nottingham estate.

Crews were called to the scene of the blaze at St Matthew's Church on Padstow Road, on the Bestwood estate, at about 1000 BST.

A Nottinghamshire Fire and Rescue spokeswoman said the fire was put out just after 1145 BST.

Firefighters from the Arnold and Stockhill stations attended. It is not yet known how the fire started.
