Youths charged with man's murder

Three 15-year-old youths have been charged with murdering a man whose body was found on a Nottinghamshire road.

The teenagers were detained after James Sheppard, 54, was found dead on Sutton Road in the Stockwell Gate area of Mansfield on Friday night.

They are due to appear before Mansfield Magistrates' Court on Tuesday.

Mr Sheppard, who was found close to Mansfield Community Hospital, died after sustaining head injuries, a post-mortem examination revealed.

Detectives originally arrested four suspects in connection with his death, all aged 15, but the fourth was released without charge on Monday.
