Fire experts probe cause of blaze

Fire service officials have started an investigation into the cause of a blaze at a flat in Nottingham.

A man was rescued from the flat on Radford Road in the Hyson Green area of the city on Friday night.

Six firefighters wearing breathing equipment tackled the fire and rescued the man from the property.

Fire officials said the man was taken to the Queen's Medical Centre for treatment, but his subsequent condition was not known.

The man was taken hospital after being pulled from the burning building.
