Ex-children's home fire 'suspect'

Police have confirmed they are treating a fire that badly damaged a former children's home in a Nottinghamshire town as suspicious.

About 30 firefighters were called to the home on Park Avenue, Mansfield.

They arrived at the derelict building just after midnight on Tuesday and spent seven hours at the site tackling the flames.

Nottinghamshire Police have asked for anyone with information about the fire to come forward.
