Thousands attend faith convention

More than 8,000 people from around the East Midlands and Lincolnshire gathered in Nottingham to attend a three-day convention for Jehovah's witnesses.

"Keep on the Watch!" was held from Friday to Sunday at the Trent FM Arena.

Organisers said the event had focused on a range of talks, lectures and demonstrations and included practical help and advice for families.

Around 30 such conventions are held yearly around Britain and the Channel Islands.

Jehovah's Witnesses are members of a Christian-based religious movement probably best known for their door-to-door evangelistic work.
