The bus service follows the tram route to Bulwell and Hucknall

A bus company has set up a new service which it claims will rival Nottingham's tram system. Businessman Scott Dunn has set up Your Bus - which will follow the tram route from the city to Hucknall and Bulwell. Mr Dunn said the number 8 and 82 services would be less crowded than the trams at peak times. Nottingham Tram Consortium said its customer surveys show more than 90% of travellers were satisfied when it came to using the tram service. Mr Dunn, whose family formerly owned the Dunn Line bus group until it was sold off to French company Veolia, said: "There is the opportunity to compete - drivers are going to be really friendly. "Compared to the tram, we've got lots of seats which are empty at the moment but on the tram, there's a lot of standing at peak times." Nottingham Tram Consortium said it carried out an annual customer satisfaction survey and that involved riding the trams and asking people what they thought of the service. Last year 92% of people questioned said they were satisfied and has never dropped below 90%, the company said.
