Army bomb squad called to house

Army bomb disposal officers were sent to a house in Nottinghamshire after a suspicious-looking package was found by police officers.

The unit was called at about 1115 GMT to an address on Patrick Road, West Bridgford following the arrest of a 41-year-old man at the property.

A spokesman for Nottinghamshire Police said the arrest followed a raid of the house by officers.

He said the bomb disposal unit was called as a precautionary measure.

The arrested man is being held in custody and will be questioned later, police said.
