Police identify road crash couple

Police have identified a couple who died after a car crash on a Nottinghamshire road.

John Culpin, 73, of Barrow-upon-Soar, Leicestershire, and his wife Molly, 72, died after their Peugeot 306 collided with an Astra on 6 January.

The accident happened on Main Street in Costock at about 1020 GMT.

The woman driver of the Astra was taken to the Queen's Medical Centre (QMC) in Nottingham for treatment. Police are appealing for witnesses.

Mr Culpin died at the scene of the crash and his wife died later the same day at the QMC.
