Forklift used to ram cash machine

Ram raid in Keyworth
The forklift was used to steal the cash machine in Keyworth

A Nottinghamshire post office has been damaged by thieves who used a forklift truck to steal a cash machine.

At about 0340 GMT, the forklift was used in an apparent ram raid to remove the machine from the premises in Main Street, Keyworth.

Officers are appealing for anyone who was in the area at the time and might have witnessed the incident to come forward.

Main Street has been closed to traffic to remove the debris.
