Family's appeal over missing man

Richard Legge
Richard Legge's family said they were worried he might have been hurt.

A search is under way for a Nottinghamshire father-of-three who has been missing for several days.

Richard Legge, 41, left his home in Bilborough on Boxing Day after an argument without any money or warm clothing.

His family has said they are worried about his mental state and have started to put up posters appealing for help.

Nottinghamshire Police appealed for any of Mr Legge's friends in other parts of the UK to contact officers.

Michelle Dewire, Mr Legge's partner, said: "I am concerned because I don't think his mental state is very good, I think he is depressed.

"I am on painkillers and they are missing, so I am concerned for his safety."

Det Insp Rob Griffin said: "We don't know who Richard knows. He has been a lorry driver in the past and his circle of associates may reach far and wide and it is to those people we would appeal first and foremost."
