Man is injured in street assault

A man has been attacked in Nottingham, prompting police to cordon-off a number of streets.

The 29-year-old was walking along Peveril Drive in The Park area of the city during the early hours when he was assaulted.

He was taken to the Queen's Medical Centre, but released later.

Police cordoned off an area around Park Drive and Peveril Drive to carry out forensic investigations and interviewed people in the area.

Anyone with any information is asked to contact police.
