Man in bungalow murder is named

Police have started a murder inquiry after the discovery of Mr Bacon's body

A 50-year-old man who was murdered at a bungalow in Nottinghamshire has been named by police.

The body of Nigel Bacon, also known as Neil, was found at Keeper's Cottage, Normanton Larches near Clumber Park on Wednesday evening.

He was taken to Bassetlaw District General Hospital but died a short time later, police said.

A post-mortem examination carried out on Thursday concluded he died of stab wounds to his upper body.

Mr Bacon was a part-time gamekeeper who also had interests in a security firm.

Detectives are continuing with their inquiries and an incident room has been set up.
