Nine arrested after brawl in town

Nine people have been arrested after a brawl in a Nottinghamshire town.

The disturbance happened outside the Lord Nelson public house on Nottingham Road in Eastwood at about 2355 GMT on Saturday, police said.

Officers were called to the scene after reports of a window being smashed and the incident then developed into a larger scale disorder.

The nine people were arrested for public order offences and will be questioned by Nottinghamshire Police.
