Mobility scooter crash man dies

A man who was seriously injured when his mobility scooter was involved in an accident with a lorry has died.

The crash happened at midday on Thursday on Mile End Road in Colwick near Nottingham.

Peter Trevor Morely, aged 73, was taken to the Queen's Medical Centre for treatment, but died overnight.

The collision took place near a pedestrian crossing at the junction of First Avenue and Colwick Loop Road. Police have appealed for witnesses.

The driver of the lorry was not injured, police said.
