Man attacked after boxing match

Police in Nottingham have appealed for witnesses after a man was assaulted following a boxing match.

A 41-year-old man was attacked after the match between Matthew Hatton and Rendall Munroe at the Harvey Hadden sports centre on 5 September.

Police said he was punched to the floor and repeatedly kicked and beaten by a group of men. He sustained facial injuries which required stitches.

The group of men are then believed to have left on a coach.

Police said the boxing match was attended by about 1,000 people.
