A 28-year-old man has died after taking part in Nottingham's Robin Hood Festival of Running.
An event spokesman said the man, who has not been named, had just completed the half-marathon race when he collapsed and died.
The event is one of the largest full and half-marathon combined events.
About 8,000 runners tackled the full and half-marathon courses while about 2,000 others took part in a 2.5 mile (4km) fun run.
The marathon was won by Pumlani Bangani of Greater Manchester. He also won in 2005 and 2006.
